Stud Bolt ASTM A193 B7, A194 2H Nut, and Other Grades
ASTM A193 is a category of bolts, nuts, stud bolts made of steel or stainless steel for flanges, valves, tanks that is applied in high temperature or high-pressure environments or other special instalments. It has several grades such as B7, B8, B7m, and so on.
ASTM A193 Grade B7
Grade B7 is made from a chromium-molybdenum alloy that has undergone heat treatment to achieve the desired strength. This grade is widely used in the construction, oil and gas (O&G) industries, as well as other applications. Typically, B7 is coated with hot-dip galvanizing or PTFE. For stud bolts or bolts of Grade B7, the corresponding nut or hex nut used is ASTM A194 2H.

ASTM A193 Grade B7M
B7M contains similar compositions to B7. However, B7 has lower strength and requires testing to all kind of fasteners (e.g., stud bolts and bolts) rather than sampling. Grade B7M can withstand environments with chlorine, sulfides, and hydrogen. For B7M stud bolts or bolts, 2HM nuts are used.

ASTM A193 grade B8
Grade B8 is a stud bolt, or other fasteners made of SUS304 stainless steel. B8 Class 2 appears to have a higher strength than B8 Class 1.

ASTM A193 grade B8M
Grade B8M is a type of stud bolt or other fasteners made of SUS316 stainless steel.

Various types of stud bolts are available in Multi Baja such as B7, B7M, L7, L7M, SUS304, SUS316, and others. Please refer to CONTACT US page for inquiries.
